PRODUCTION DIARY
WEEK 1
In week 1 we got into our production groups for our short films. We decided the rolls everybody would have during the production and decided on a title of our production company. We decided to call it 'Socket Productions' and then designed the logo in photoshop.
WEEK 2
We started filling out production forms and having minutes meetings. We cast our two actors that will be in our film and made them fill out their contract agreeing to star in the film. We decided on the location we will shot our film. We filled out a risk assessment form to be aware of the risks that could come with the production and we also filled out a cast list with the names and information of everybody involved in the production.
WEEK 3
In week 3 we stared rehearsals with the camera and lighting equipment. We set up the lights and the camera.
During the rehearsal, I directed, Joe and Alissa operated the sound, Abigail operated the camera and Glenn operated the lights. We filmed the actors with a master shot, medium close up and close up shots. We used the boom microphone to record the sound as it is clearer than using the camera microphone and records the voices of the actors easier.
